Emergency Medical & Dental Coverage

Learn what's covered and how to file a claim for unexpected medical or dental emergencies during your trip.

  • What is covered?

    • This benefit provides reimbursement for Emergency Treatment if you become sick or accidentally injured while traveling on a Covered Trip.

    • Eligible expenses include services from a legally qualified Physician, surgeon, graduate nurse, dentist, or osteopath.

    • The coverage also extends to charges for hospital confinement, operating rooms, anesthetics, x-rays, laboratory tests, ambulance services, and necessary drugs or medicines.

  • What are the coverage limits?

    • You are covered for up to $100,000.00 for Emergency Treatment.

    • You may also receive an additional benefit of $75.00 per day for up to a maximum of 5 days toward the cost of a hotel room if your attending Physician determines you must recover in a hotel immediately after a hospital release.

  • What is not covered (Exclusions)?

    • Travel specifically for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment is excluded.

    • Non-emergency services, routine physical examinations, and routine dental care (including dentures and false teeth) are not covered.

    • Care for any illness or injury suffered due to self-inflicted harm, attempted suicide, mental health issues, alcoholism, or substance abuse is excluded.

    • Injuries resulting from extreme activities, including skydiving, scuba or deep sea diving, hang gliding, parachuting, rock climbing, and contests of speed are not covered.

    • Care received in countries determined by the U.S. Government to be unsafe for travel (such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, etc.) is excluded.

  • Who is the insurance provider?

    • This benefit is issued and managed by the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, located at 202B Hall's Mill Road, Whitehouse Station, New Jersey 08889.

Tip: To speed up your claim, please ensure you reference Policy #N18135954. You will need to contact the Benefit Administrator within 90 days of receiving medical care. Be prepared to provide an account statement reflecting the charge for the travel ticket, a statement from any other insurance carriers showing amounts paid, and receipts for all eligible medical/dental expenses.
