What is covered?
This benefit provides reimbursement for the difference between the actual cash value (replacement cost less depreciation) and any reimbursement provided by the Common Carrier for the costs to repair or replace your Checked Baggage, Carry-on Baggage, and/or the personal property contained within.
The loss, damage, or theft must occur during a Covered Trip.
What are the coverage limits?
You are covered for up to $3,000.00 per Covered Person per Trip.
This includes a sub-limit of up to $250.00 for jewelry and watches, and a sub-limit of up to $1,000.00 for cameras and other electronic equipment (these sub-limits are part of, not in addition to, the maximum benefit).
What is not covered (Exclusions)?
Items that you inadvertently leave behind on the Common Carrier or Cruise Line are not considered lost or stolen and are not covered.
The benefit does not cover documents, valuable papers, money, securities, tickets, checks, travelers' checks, or furs.
Losses caused by war, undeclared war, civil war, insurrection, or rebellion are excluded.
Who is the insurance provider?
This benefit is issued and managed by the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, located at 202B Hall's Mill Road, Whitehouse Station, New Jersey 08889.
How to Claim
Important First Step: If your checked baggage is lost, stolen, or damaged, you must first report the loss to the Common Carrier or Cruise Line within their required timeframe. If it is your carry-on baggage, you must report it to them as soon as you exit the conveyance.

Tip: Please reference Policy Number 9912-2480. You must contact the Benefit Administrator within twenty (20) days of the date your baggage was lost, damaged, or stolen, or as soon as reasonably possible. Be prepared to provide your travel itinerary, an account statement showing the last 4 digits used for the fare, written confirmation that you filed a claim with the carrier, a copy of the carrier's settlement or denial, and receipts for the purchase of replacement items over $25.00.
