What is covered?
This benefit provides reimbursement for the emergency purchase of essential items—such as toiletries, clothing, and chargers for electronic devices (limit one per device)—when your Baggage is delayed on an eligible Trip.
It applies if your baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than six (6) hours from your arrival time.
What are the coverage limits?
The maximum benefit is $500.00 per day.
You can claim this for up to a maximum of three (3) days.
What is not covered (Exclusions)?
Hearing aids, artificial teeth, dental bridges, or prosthetic devices.
Tickets, documents, valuable papers, money, securities, checks, or travelers' checks.
Jewelry, watches, business samples, cameras, video recorders, and other electronic or recreational equipment.
Who is the insurance provider?
This benefit is issued and managed by the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, located at 202B Hall's Mill Road, Whitehouse Station, New Jersey 08889.
How to Claim
Important First Step: Immediately notify the Common Carrier to begin their claim process. You will need to provide proof that you submitted a report to them, so be sure to keep a copy for your records.

Tip: Please reference Policy #9912-2480. You must contact the Benefit Administrator within ninety (90) days of the date your baggage was delayed. Be prepared to provide your travel itinerary, written confirmation of the delay from the carrier, a copy of the carrier's settlement or denial, an account statement showing the last 4 digits used for the fare, and receipts for the purchase of essential items over $25.00.
