Connect Pliant MCP to Claude

How to connect Pliant MCP to Claude as a custom connector, for organizations and individuals.

This article covers connecting Pliant MCP to Claude (Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, the mobile app and Claude Code). Pliant MCP is being added to Claude's connector directory. Until it is listed, you add it as a custom connector as described here.

Before you start: an organization admin has to turn on Pliant MCP once, for the whole organization.

  1. Go to Settings > Modules in Pliant.

  2. Find the Pliant MCP tile and activate it.

Turning the module off later revokes access for everyone and does not delete conversation history already stored in your AI tool.

What you need

The server address https://mcp.getpliant.com/mcp, your Client ID and your Client Secret. They are shown in Pliant, or contact Pliant support and we send them to you securely. Treat the secret like a password.

Option A: your Claude organization (Team or Enterprise)

An Owner of your Claude organization does this once. It is described in Claude: set up Pliant MCP for your organization. Afterwards each person only has to connect:

  1. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors.

  2. Select Pliant and click Connect.

  3. Sign in with your Pliant account and select Allow.

Option B: just for you (Pro or Max)

  1. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. Name it Pliant and enter the server address https://mcp.getpliant.com/mcp.

  3. Open Advanced settings and enter the Client ID and Client Secret. Click Add.

  4. Click Connect, sign in with your Pliant account and review the consent screen. Select Allow only if it shows the Pliant name and the permissions you expect.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http pliant https://mcp.getpliant.com/mcp

Enter the Client ID and Secret when prompted, then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Check that it works

Enable the Pliant connector in the chat tools menu.

Ask your assistant: "Which Pliant account am I connected as?" It should answer with your name, organization and role.

If something goes wrong

If sign-in fails immediately, you may have an open Pliant session in your browser. Open https://login.getpliant.com/v2/logout and try again.

Still stuck? Contact Pliant support with your tool, its version and the exact error text.
