How to change a member's name, role, email and phone number?

Updated over a week ago

After a member of your organization has registered with Pliant, as an Owner or Admin you will still be able to edit their first name, last name, and role using the member menu item "Edit member data".

It is also possible to update the email address by clicking the "Update email address" button. There are two exceptions to this:

  1. The email address of an Owner can only be updated by another Owner.

  2. For users who have access to multiple organizational accounts, updating the email is currently only possible via Pliant customer service for security reasons. Please contact us if required.

As an Owner or Admin, you are also able to reset a member's phone, which is useful if they have lost access to it and need to use a different mobile phone. The member will then have to enter a new phone number and confirm it via an SMS one-time code the next time she or he logs in.

If you want to invite new employees, click "Invite member" button and input first and last name, as well as the email address and assign a role (a role description and its permissions can be found here). Please note that only Owners and Admins can invite new members.

Finally, it is also possible to deactivate a member, by using the member menu item. In that case, all active cards belonging to that member will be automatically terminated. The cards of a deactivated member cannot be transferred to another member. Please note that deactivated member cannot be deleted, as all transactions, including past transactions, need to be assigned to a specific user. Deactivated users will not be considered in the billing. Lastly, a deactivated member can also be reactivated by the owner.

Please note that the type of actions you can take depend on your role. For example, changing a member's role or editing an Admin's permissions can only be done by an Owner.

Each member can also edit their own information (first name, last name, mobile phone) in their user profile.

If a member leaves the organization or does not need access to the Pliant platform, you can deactivate the member. Deactivated members will not be billed. Please be aware that any cards assigned to the deactivated member will be deactivated as well and cannot be transferred to another member.
