Step 2: Prerequisite to set up the DATEV API
Updated over a week ago

Note: The DATEV interface can currently only be used via a credit-side posting.

Before you can transfer transaction data from Pliant to DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO) via an interface, some requirements must be met in DATEV and Pliant:

  1. Check that the DATEV client is set up correctly.

  2. Make sure that in DUO, on the Documents home page, the processing form is set to "extended". If this is not the case, please ask your tax consultant to change the processing form to "extended" under Settings - Processing form - Processing form.

  3. Check whether the fiscal year set in DATEV corresponds to the current fiscal year. If this is not the case, please contact your tax advisor.

  4. Have your tax advisor activate DATEV Invoice Data Service 1.0:

    1. on the corresponding mandates, i.e. their organization

    2. on the corresponding users, who will set up the interface

  5. In Pliant, under Settings - Accounting - General - scroll down, and create the general accounts:

    1. Pliant Credit Card Account: Number of the payment account through which all credit card payments are to be booked in DATEV.

    2. Default supplier account: Number of the collective vendor account to be used for credit-side posting of credit card payments.

    3. Cash in transit account: Number of another payment account against which the settlement payments (direct debits) or top-up payments will be booked out by the Pliant.

Note: Billing payments or top-up payments can currently not be transmitted via the interface to DATEV. You can download these payments in the Pliant App under Settlements - Download as DATEV XML or DATEV CSV and upload them to DATEV.
