Apple Pay is a convenient and secure way to make purchases with your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac. With Apple Pay, you can add your credit or debit cards to your devices and use them to make payments at participating merchants.
One of the great features of Apple Pay is the ability to add your card to multiple devices. However, the number of cards you can add to each device may vary depending on the iOS version and the specific iPhone model you have.
Limits by Device and iOS Version
iOS 17 and later:
If you have an iPhone with iOS 17 or later, you can add an unlimited number of cards to your Apple Wallet. This means you can add all your credit and debit cards without worrying about reaching a maximum limit.
iOS 15 and earlier:
If you have an iPhone with iOS 15 or earlier, the maximum number of cards you can add to your device may vary depending on the model. Here are the limits for each model:
Note: These limits apply per device. This means that if you have an iPhone 8 and an iPhone XS, you can add up to 12 cards on your iPhone 8 and up to 16 cards on your iPhone XS.
You can also add your card to multiple Apple devices, such as your iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad. However, each device must be set up individually. This means that if you want to use Apple Pay on your iPhone and your Apple Watch, you will need to add your card to both devices separately.
