Receipt management settings

As an owner or admin, you can make various settings regarding the management of receipts by navigating to Settings → Receipts.

Notifications for missing receipts

When the option Notifications & Icons for Missing Receipts is enabled, we send an overview of missing receipts to all owners, administrators and accountants once a week. Members will also receive a reminder to upload their receipts. This can be disabled individually in the profile settings.

In addition, icons for missing receipts are displayed on the transaction page as well as in the accounting export.

Receipt forwarding

With receipt forwarding in Pliant, all receipt files uploaded to Pliant (via mobile app, web app or via receipt inbox) can be forwarded directly to an email address. In the receipt settings, you are able to

  • activate or deactivate the feature

  • set up if the credit card statement (PDF) should be included

  • choose between immediate forwarding and daily forwarding

Important: With daily forwarding, the receipts uploaded during the day are combined into a single PDF and forwarded to the specified email address at 00:00 UTC.

Receipt upload

Employees can choose whether or not a receipt is required per transaction in Pliant. In the settings, owners/admins can specify whether employees should be allowed to mark individual transactions as "receipt is not required".

Receipt inbox

The receipt inbox allows receipt files to be emailed to Pliant. The files are then automatically matched with the correct transaction. In the receipt settings, you can specify an email address to which receipts that cannot be assigned to a transaction will be returned.

Important: Sending occurs after three, staggered attempts to assign the voucher file to a transaction.
