Password Security at Pliant
Updated over a week ago

At Pliant, the security of your data is of utmost importance to us. A strong password is your first line of defense in protecting your account from unauthorized access. In this article, we will outline the minimum requirements for passwords on our web app and the importance of two-factor authentication (2FA) as an additional layer of security.

Minimum Password Requirements

To ensure the integrity of your account security, all passwords at Pliant must meet the following minimum criteria:

  1. Length: Your password must be at least 8 characters long. Longer passwords are generally more secure.

  2. Character Diversity: Your password must include at least three of the following four types of characters:

    • Lowercase letters (a-z)

    • Uppercase letters (A-Z)

    • Numbers (0-9)

    • Special characters (e.g., !, $, #, %)

These requirements ensure that your password is difficult to guess or crack by automated attacks.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

In addition to a strong password, it is mandatory at Pliant to enable two-factor authentication. This additional layer of security protects your account by requiring you to provide two different forms of identification before gaining access:

  • Something you know: Your password.

  • Something you have: A second factor, such as receiving a one-time code via text message or a push notification on your smartphone.

By combining these two security measures, your account is protected even if your password were to be compromised.

Important Remark:

Adhering to our password security guidelines and activating two-factor authentication are crucial steps in protecting your Pliant account. We encourage you to regularly update your password to maintain the security of your data. Should you need assistance or have further questions about security, our support team is always available to help.
